Another voice shredding in-your-face hardcore heavy metal record. The album reached number 16 on the US Billboard album charts, behind the success of the rock radio track 'Two Weeks'. 'A Song For The Hopeless' is a decent track, as is the final track 'I Believe In Nothing'. Otherwise the album all sounds the same with the double bass drum pounding away and the vocals screaming at you. I don't recommend it, unless you are into this sort of music

Another one of those hardcore deathmetal records that I could not finish. This is just not my cup of tea, perhaps I shouldn't review these albums. Once again, if this kind of music is for you, check it out. If not, steer clear. For my own personal recommendation: no way!

THE ALBUM OF THE DAY AUGUST BURNS RED...Leveler (2011) (CD, LP, Allmusic review) Oh My Goodness!!! August Burns Red is a metalcore Christian band that get in your face. While listening to this record I quickly realised a few things. First, you can't understand anything the guy sings so I couldn't tell you if he was praising God or not (the lyrics are included and he does). Second, all the songs sounded the same, with the exception of "Carpe Diem" and "1/16/2011". If you're into that hardcore metal in-your-face screaming moshpit stuff go for this one. If you're not steer clear. I do like the Christian side to the record, however

THE ALBUM OF THE DAY ALDO NOVA...Aldo Nova (1982) (CD, Allmusic review)
The 1982 debut album from Aldo Nova is somewhat 'poppy', you could say. Fantasy is definitely the best track on the CD, the rest of the album has some filler (meaning ok tracks, but nothing as close as Fantasy. Ball And Chain and Foolin' Yourself arte good tracks. I recommend it, especially if you haven't heard it in a long time. if you've never heard it before just check out the youtube video and that will be all you need
