1958 Buddy Holly begins a tour of the U.K., the only one he would do.
1966 Gene Clark quits the Byrds
1967 The Animals refuse to perform a concert in Ottawa because they want to be paid in advance. They are not so therefore the show is cancelled and a riot ensues, causing thousands of dollars in damage to the arena.
1969 Jim Morrison of The Doors supposedly exposes himself at a concert in Miami. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't, but he was later arrested for profanity and lewd behavior.
1994 The last show ever for Nirvana is in Munich, Germany. Also that smae day at the Grammys: Soul Asylum - "Runaway Train" Best Rock Song, Ozzy Osbourne - "I Don't Want To Change The World" Best Metal Performance.
1995 At the Grammys: Bruce Springsteen - "Streets Of Philadelphia" Song Of The Year, Soundgarden - "Black Hole Sun" Best Hard Rock Performance, Spoonman Best Metal Performance, Melissa Etheridge - "Come To My Window" Best Rock Performance-Female. That same evening R.E.M.'s drummer, Bill Berry, suffers a brain aneurysm and has to leave the stage.
2005 The Jimi Hendrix estate wins another court battle as they stop Purple Haze Records from selling a bootleg concert from 1969.
2008 Linkin Park has to cancel shows in Albuquerque and El Paso after Chester Bennington has a respiratory infection.
