1968 Jim Morrison of the Doors incites an audience riot during a Chicago concert, then escapes backstage as the crowd battles with police
1974 Monkey Grip by Bill Wyman is released. It is the first solo album released by a Rolling Stone
1986 Tommy Lee of Mötley Crüe marries actress Heather Locklear. The couple divorces seven years later
2004 Cris Kirkwood of the Meat Puppets pleads guilty to assault in Phoenix, Arizona, stemming from an incident with a a post office security guard during which Kirkwood was shot December 26, 2003
2006 Chris Daughtry gets voted off Season Five of “American Idol.”
2006 Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones is released from a hospital in New Zealand 2 days after he had brain surgery. Richards had fallen out of a tree in Fiji, injuring his head
2006 Daniel Biechele, former manager of Great White, whose pyrotechnics caused a 2003 Rhode Island nightclub fire that killed 100 people, was sentenced to four years in prison. (Biechele was paroled in March 2008)
2010 It is announced that Joey Belladonna has rejoined Anthrax
2011 Move Like This by the Cars is released
2011 Man In Motion by Warren Haynes is released
2011 Live At River Plate by AC/DC is released on DVD and blu-ray
