That same day while Kiss is touring Australia Gene Simmons causes controversy by stating that the western world is under threat from extremists and a culture that treats women worse than dogs, he dismisses the Arab world as “God’s armpit.”
2004 Courtney Love pleads innocent to assault charges stemming from an incident in which she allegedly struck a man in the head with a microphone stand at a New York show the previous March
2007 Bo Diddley is hospitalized after a concert in Council Bluffs, Iowa, during which he appears disoriented. He is placed in intensive care at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska after suffering a stroke
2008 Jon Anderson of Yes is hospitalized after experiencing a serious asthma attack
2008 Scott Weiland of the Stone Temple Pilots is released from Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department jail facility after serving 14 minutes of his sentence for a DUI bust the previous November
