THE ALBUM OF THE DAY
Various Artist...FM The Original Movie Soundtrack  (1978)
FM The Original Movie Soundtrack was released 35 years ago in April 1978.  It reached number 5 on the U.S. Billboard album charts.  I give this album a 4 out of 5 stars.  It sounds just like rock radio would have in 1978.  Just look at the track listing:

1. STEELY DAN...FM (No Static At All)
2. BOB SEGER...Night Moves
3. STEVE MILLER BAND...Fly Like An Eagle
4. FOREIGNER...Cold As Ice
5. TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS...Breakdown
6. RANDY MEISNER...Bad Man
7. THE EAGLES...Life In The Fast Lane
8. STEELY DAN...Do It Again
9. BOZ SCAGGS...Lido Shuffle
10. BOSTON...More Than A Feeling
11. LINDA RONSTADT...Tumbling Dice
12. LINDA RONSTADT...Poor, Poor Pitiful Me
13. JIMMY BUFFETT...Livingston Saturday Night
14. DAN FOGELBERG...There's a Place In The World For a Gambler
15. BILLY JOEL...Just The Way You Are
16. THE DOOBIE BROTHERS...It Keeps You Runnin'
17. JAMES TAYLOR...Your Smiling Face
18. JOE WALSH...Life's Been Good
19. QUEEN...We Will Rock You
20. STEELY DAN...FM (Reprise)
Now that's a good album
