THE ALBUM OF THE DAY
BROTHER CANE...Brother Cane (1993)
Brother Cane was released 20 years ago in 1993 and did not chart on the U.S. Billboard album charts. I'll give it a 2 1/2 out of 3 stars. Brother Cane is a hard rock band from Birmingham, Alabama, and this is their debut album. I'm surprised they didn't make it bigger as this album rocks pretty good. They remind me somewhat of the Black Crowes, same type of vocals, same type of playing. The opening track "Got No Shame" is an awesome track, with some addictive riff-roaring guitar. Another highlight is "That Don't Satisfy Me" and the albums final track is a pretty cool ballad called "Make Your Play". To bad they didn't achieve more success as the band would only release two more albums. I recommend it, if you like good rock n roll you'll like this one
