The ALBUM OF THE DAY
MUSE...Resistance (2009)
(CD/DVD, vinyl, Allmusic review)

A recent Grammy winner for Best Rock Album, and reached number 2 on the U.S. Billboard album chart. There are classical piano and orchestral work throughout the record, which I found to be very intriguing. This is a big sounding album, the songs having so much in them as far as vocals (some even in different languages) and instrumentation. The best part of the album was the final 12 minutes, the 3 part Exogenesis: Symphony. Most of that was very interesting listening. Resistance is definitely a different type of album that we normally include as the AOTD, but it's worth a listen. Not the greatest album you'll ever hear but not too bad, either. Recommended, if nothing else than to just check it out
