2007 The Scorpions perform in Brussels, Belgium commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome
2008 Jimi Hendrix's estate, Experience Hendrix, wins a summary judgment in the U.K. against The Times of London who had inserted a CD with live Hendrix material into a September 2006 issue and the judge ruled the paper had not gained the right to do so
2008 The Smashing Pumpkins file a lawsuit in Los Angeles against their label Virgin Records for breach of contract for letting Amazon.com and PepsiCo to use their music in ads
