The ALBUM OF THE DAY
AC/DC...T.N.T. (1975)
(CD, Allmusic review)

Their second album released in Australia in 1975. For some reason I always thought this was their debut but it is not. High Voltage was their first record, but T.N.T. is a rather impressive follow up. It has all the elements we expect from AC/DC: power chords, thundering bass and drums, and good catchy songs sung by their crazy lead singer, in this case Bon Scott. It was 31 years ago today that Scott's body was found so I wanted to pay tribute to him with making this the AOTD. "Can I Sit Next To You Girl" has always been my favorite on this one. They do a great cover version of the old Chuck Berry classic "School Days" and the slow bluesy and ballsy "The Jack" are only just a few highlights. The album in this formation was only released in Australia so there was no chart action for it in the U.S. All the songs were released in some other way internationally, but I recommend you check this record out the way it was originally done. Highly recommended
